We lost a close friend yesterday with the passing of Peter B. Higgins after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Higgins was the chairman of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency and quite simply the reason that the New York Red Bulls have a new home in Harrison. His vision and leadership guided us through numerous difficulties.
On a personal level I was praying that Pete would be with us for the opening of Red Bull Arena so that he could realize the fulfillment of his vision. When we cut the ribbon for the opening of this stadium, we will do so with a heavy heart and the very real understanding that it would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Pete Higgins. For all of us with the New York Red Bulls our deepest sympathies go out to the Higgins family.
In lieu of flowers, the Higgins family has requested that donations be made in Peter’s name to Camp Fatima of New Jersey, P.O. Box 234, Harrison, NJ, 07029.

Such WONDERFUL comments about our dear friend Pete Higgins. He will be sorely missed. Whatever the Red Bulls choose to do in his honor will be well deserved! He will be forever in our hearts! Maureen & Joe Myers

The Red Bulls, Higgins and Mc Donough have destroyed Harrison, the Red Bulls are a failure and so is the redevelopment, many livelyhoods have been destroyed do to the lack of care for the old residents and property owners that were forced out by the failed redevelopment, do to the abuse of eminent domain laws. The Harrison tax payers will for sure remember him.

Oh goody, the asshole responsible for not giving New York City (the CITY, not the goddamn Metropolitan Area) a proper soccer team.
