Several Red Bull First Teamers, including Jon Conway, Mike Magee, Luke Sassano, Andrew Boyens, and Gordon Kljestan went up to Ridgewood Country Club to watch The Barclay’s. The guys were there to take in some top level golf, but also to support a fellow Red Bull athlete, Camilo Villegas. Known as Spiderman, Villagas wears custom made belts highlighting the Red Bull logo that are renowned on the tour.
Juan Pablo Angel, who comes from the same town in Colombia as Villegas (they have several mutual friends) was rumored to also be heading to the tournament to support the only Colombian golfer to have ever made the cut at a PGA event.
The players received tourmanent passes through Villegas and his agency, IMG. RBR had a chance to meet Spiderman on Tuesday at a signing appearance, and we must say that we were impressed by the young man. He has boundless enthusiasm and showed off his Red Bull belt buckle with a flourish. He was also very humble, which is nice for a guy ranked in the top-50 in the world with already over $1,000,000 in earning in 2008.
