Fan of the Year

It’s that time of year again when fans will compete to become the 2009 Red Bulls Fan of The Year. To enter the Contest, follow the directions in the Official Rules and submit a video no longer than 1:00 minute in length on DVD or by a computer file explaining why you should be the Red Bulls Fan of the Year. The highest scoring video based on the judging criteria in the Official Rules will be named the 2009 Fan of The Year and will be recognized and introduced at this season’s final game on Saturday, October 24 when the New York Red Bulls take on Toronto FC.

All submissions must be received by Wednesday, October 12, 2009.

RBNY TO HOST DINARDO FAMILY CUP

DiNardo Family Cup

The New York Red Bulls and The Soccer Learning Center will host the DiNardo Family Cup on Friday, September 18, prior to the Red Bulls MLS match with the New England Revolution.

UPDATE: Governor Jon Corzine, Jersey City Mayor Jerramiah Healy, and Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer are expected be in attendance at the start of the tournament to conduct the coin toss, along with the four surviving officers before the tournament’s kickoff at 3:30 PM ET.

More than 100 players representing eight teams will play in a small-sided tournament on the Giants Stadium field to help bolster the PBA scholarship fund for Jersey City Police Detective Marc DiNardo’s three children, ages 4, 3, and 1. Detective DiNardo was fatally shot in the line of duty in July. (more…)

WEB CAM UPDATE: UPDATE

As you may have noticed, the web cam at the Red Bull Arena site is down.  There is a good reason for this.  The construction trailers that hosts the signal are being moved to another section of the site.  The web cam should be back up and functional in the very near future.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: The web cams (both the interior as well as the exterior) are back online and ready to disrupt your work day!

CHANGE TO MSG TELECASTS ANNOUNCED

Please be advised that MSG has adjusted the following Red Bull telecasts:

On Friday, Sept. 18, the New England Revolution at Red Bulls match has been moved from MSG to MSGPlus.  The match is slated to kick off at 7:30 PM ET.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the Toronto FC at Red Bulls match has been moved from MSG to MSG2.  The match is slated to kick off at 7:30 PM ET.

Set your DVRs accordingly and thank you for you consideration.

RED BULLS PART WAYS WITH PACHECO

The club announced today that it has terminated the loan deal and contract for defender Alfredo Pacheco, effective immediately.

Pacheco was signed on April 17, 2009, joining New York from El Salvadorian First Division club, C.D. FAS. Pacheco appeared in 14 matches this season for New York.
