Red Bulls vs. FC New York: USOC Match Day

The Red Bulls will host FC New York tonight at Red Bull Arena in the third round of the 2011 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The match is slated for an 8:00 PM ET kickoff.  The winner will face the victor between the Chicago Fire and Rochester Rhinos. If the Red Bulls advance, they will travel to Chicago or Rochester for a July 12th quarterfinals showdown.

13′ FCNY looking to counter but the Red Bulls back line is well organized

14′ Agudelo bodies off his defender and gets a shot off, but its just over.

20′ da Luz with a blast from distance that almost fools Diaz, but he is able to parry it away.

22′ da Luz nearly slips it through to Hertzog, but he is a step offsides

24′ An inswinging cross nearly finds Arteaga, but its a bit long

28′ Hertzog gets a shot off in space, but its right at Diaz

37′ Agudelo with a great individual effort earns a corner

40′ Arteaga with a great chance but Sutton is able to get to it.

42′ On a corner, the ball finds Ream at the back post, but he puts it high

    I really hope we win this one cause winning this tournament is one of the easiest ways to qualify for the concacaf champions league

    Thanks for providing a live stream of tonight’s open cup match. I hope you can do the same for the open cup game against Chicago on July 12th.

    I agree with Anthony; I hope the Red Bulls win this tournament.

    I liked the way Ream and Paullo played tonight; Jones was conservative but decent for his first game with the team. Hertzog did what he had to, gave an important quick response, but could have made even more of a difference today.
