Red Bulls at Dynamo: Preview

The Red Bulls look to bounce back from a disappointing outing last weekend at home to Chivas USA, as New York heads to Texas to take on the Houston Dyamo Saturday night (8:30 pm ET; MSG; WQBU 92.7 FM).  The Red Bulls will be without the services of Thierry Henry, who did not travel with the team after missing multiple training sessions this week after picking up a knock to his knee in the Chivas match.  Juan Agudelo will likely move into Henry’s spot alongside Luke Rodgers.  We caught up to Head Coach Hans Backe and players Thierry Henry, Dwayne De Rosario and Dane Richards to get their thoughts on the match.   Share YOUR thoughts in the comments section.

We need this game tonight, I know is early in the season but this is our second and last game vs the Dynamo this season, but it may prove to be of importance for the latter part of the season. Henry’s absence is going to be big, but we know Agudelo can more than cover his spot, hopefully he can step up big tonight. We also need De’Ro to have a big game, and I’m confident that he will. Greg sutton’s presence is also of major importance, I personally believe he’s a much better keeper than Condoul, and I also see him having a big game as well. We also need our defense to show up again, as we all know that they were absent through much of last week’s game against Chivas. Teemu should be completely fit tonight, so you know he’s gonna step in and disturb the Dynamo’s mid, as well as distribute and manage the ball on the offensive side. Let’s also hope that Roy Miller decides to play today and not just wonder around without much contribution. All in all, I know our team will be the one that controls the ball and the tempo of the game, and with that in mind we hopefully get a win. Let’s go Red Bulls.
