i don’t agree red bulls got someone to really replace angel its give up what red bulls gave or nothing they got a big star in return and now there attack is more better looking then better

David, you are missing the point. I’m not debating the merit of the trade (yet); it’s too early to tell. I’m just saying that the Red Bulls did not have to give up what they did to get DeRo.

Like every Red Bull fan, I hope we win the Supporters Shield and MLS Cup. DeRo’s play and chemistry with the team, coupled with the team’s overall play in central midfield and at left back versus the play of Tchani, Borman and next year’s draft pick and what they render will tell us all we need to know.

All I care about is the De Rosario over the next three years not the De Ro of the past. I’m just disappointed the Red Bulls gave up what they did because it wasn’t necessary to do so.

lets call it how it is tchani who with this team was going to do nothing but come off the bench because hans likes balouchy.. and borman who was not going to crack the starting line up.. and a first round pick which if we do as good as we did last year is going to be bottom of the draft… plus with red bulls millions any player who we pick up at the bottom of the draft is either going to be cut from his team after training camp or we can pick someone up that has the same ammount of talent or better from europe or south america or wherever… this was a solid move..

    • Starks Says:

I couldn’t disagree more. This was a steal for the RedBulls! You basically give up a pick and Tchani. Borman is HORRIBLE, and Tchani is a decent young player, who will be slightly above average if he is lucky. Great trade for RBNY.

red bulls have million if not billions if they want they can move people around and… if they really wanted to they could call someone in europe and be like listen we want to unload henry and someone would do it.. and bam new spot open sighn some younger up and comming kid.. everyone on this team can be moved…. if the team bombs which with the people they have i dont think its possible… then they can trade them away and get back good parts and try again… soccer is a diffrent beast then other sports draft picks and that sort of stuff are all cool but when you have the money and resources of red bull who obviously have connections over seas draft picks and somewhat good kids from northcarolina or wherver these kids are being drafted from doesnt matter.. dont get me wrong toni is a great kid great future… thats the problem future the bulls are built to win now… and to be honest the bulls need to win for there long suffering metro fan base and now with the cosmos lurking around the corner the bulls need to win a championship or two and lay down the law of the land and let everyone know who is top dog in the area… the deal had to happen…

  2. Chan Says:

An interesting choice. Why does this news come out on April Fools? Maybe if DeRo does not think he has to carry the team like he thought he did in Toronto, he could be a help here. His most effective time was with the original Quakes.

  3. Dario Says:

    Very good trade.

  4. gigi Says:

awesome trade, gives red bulls that attacking mid we never had. On paper best team in mls, will see how they play on the field together though. But really excited, I would say another left back, two strikers and perhaps a right sided mid and will have a great starting 11 with awesome back up. Henry and Agudelo must be happy with this move.

  5. bryan Says:

this move was made to win now everyone from the director to the the weird looking guys who check our tickets at the gate has said winning it all is the goal… cup or bust..yes yes coach hans has said the shield but thats to try and divert as much pressure away from the players as possible.. thats what a good coach tries to do.. its cup or bust simple as that…i tip my cap to the red bulls company… man talk about living up to your word… all we were told is wait till we get new digs the red bulls will do everything possible to win the cup and i tell you.. they are doing it they are going all in… its cup or bust boys….
