The New York Red Bulls drafted North Carolina State central defender Tyler Lassiter and University of Mayland right back Billy Cortes with the 30th and 38th overall selections, respectively, at the 2011 MLS SuperDraft in Baltimore, MD on January 13, 2011.

    NYRB stock is only rising IMO. They seem to be on the fast track to produce quality academy players and they’re taking full advantage of the Home Grown Player rule.

    I’m excited for this year. Even though we don’t have depth at all positions I don’t think that’s going to be an issue come mid season. It’s pretty awesome to know that we’ll have potentially reliable players ready on the reserves bench.

    Itching to get this season started!!!!!!
