Red Bull New York released its 11-man protected roster this afternoon to Major League Soccer ahead of Wednesday’s 2010 MLS Expansion Draft at 2:00 PM. All current MLS clubs protected 11 players from their 2010 roster today. The League’s 17th and 18th teams that are joining in 2011, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the Portland Timbers, will each select 10 players during the 10-round draft.
Generation adidas players (who have not graduate at the end of the 2010 season) and Home Grown players are automatically protected and do not count against a team’s 11 protected roster spots. New York’s protected list after the jump:
Goalkeeper: Bouna Coundoul

Midfielders: Mehdi Ballouchy, Joel Lindpere, Rafa Marquez, Dane Richards
