RED BULLS-EARTHQUAKES PRE-GAME

The Red Bulls look to start the MLS Cup Playoffs on the right foot as they take on the San Jose Earthquakes tonight at Buck Shaw Stadium in the first leg of a home-and-home semifinal series. The team arrived on Thursday and had a one-hour training session yesterday, making final preparations for the most important game of the season.

New York is missing forwards Thierry Henry and Salou Ibrahim and midfielder Tony Tchani due to injury, paving the way for 17-year-old Red Bull Academy product Juan Agudelo to make his first-ever MLS start, playing alongside Juan Pablo Angel. Here is the lineup for today:

———–Angel——-Agudelo——–

Ballouchy—–Lindpere——Richards

—————-Marquez——————

Miller——Ream—-Mendes—Albright

—————–Coundoul——————

Substitutes: Sutton, Borman, Petke, Robinson, Chinn, Hall, Ubiparipovic

Whats up with that official…letting them take the corner 2:30 seconds into a 1 min of stoppage. After the free kick, the 1st half should have concluded.

We should be up 1 -0. Mehdi’s header was right at the Gk, anywhere else…

    OY…

    • Starks in Tampa Says:

Yea thats what I was saying to my bro and dad, Iv never seen a 1 minute addition turn out to be 3+…..anyway good goal by Lindpere….where is Emilio telling us that Richards is this great player…when he doesnt have room to throw the ball in back of the defender and outrun him with his speed, he sucks!…can not create his own shot, can not pass…he is worth less.

      • el Says:

Yeah he is worthless, Im sure the goals he scored to help us win so many games down the stretch were worthless also. Maybe you should be coaching the team. Its funny how a player has scored 5 goals in 8 games, and is clearly recognized as one of the teams top threats, and yet fans need to be “right” when they are wrong.

  2. Starks in Tampa Says:

BTW Angel, is a shell of his former self…he is garbage…

  3. Starks in Tampa Says:

and on top of that Agudelo looks really good…very talented player.

  4. Starks in Tampa Says:

    Redbulls playing really well!

  5. Dario Says:

1-0 win, and now we go back home to RB Arena.

Tech. we dont even need a win, a draw will suffice. Great job NYRB….we are so close.

    LETS GO RED BULLS!!

BTW: Great goal from Joel Lindpere.

  6. Dario Says:

    BTW: (A)Lalas and Borg…

  7. agnigrin Says:

Great game by the Bullls and the D was just terrific…. Rafa makes this team so much better. Wish Titi had played we would have won 6-0!

  8. sicote Says:

    Lindpere injured?

  9. bryan Says:

has a groin issue… which i seen in a interview done before the game that he said its the same issue that required him to have surgery in germany for.. so i hope this is not a major issue for him… the man is a beast. he turned down a request to play for his country so he could play in a crucial game for red bulls… then he says that with the help of medicine or without it does not matter he will play tonight… this is how you become a club icon… and a club legend…. what a player.. fans before the season started had no idea who he was…. or where estonia was on the map lol…. they sure do now…. lol..

  10. bryan Says:

“estonian players don’t complain. He’ll play on thursday.” hahahaha hans backe lol….. said after the game lol… you got to love backe lol…

    • Starks in Tampa Says:

yea Hans is so great with his candid humor and comments…you gotta love it.

very happy with the win…..cant wait for thursday
