Red Bulls forward Juan Agudelo has been called up to the United States Under-20 National Team for its upcoming trip to Peru for a four team international tournament from Sept. 1 through Sept. 13. He will be unavailable for selection for the Red Bulls’ matches on Sept. 4 at Real Salt Lake and Sept. 11 vs. Colorado.
Agudelo was signed by the Red Bulls on March 26 from the Red Bull Academy, becoming the second Home Grown player produced by the club to join the first team. This season for the Red Bulls, Agudelo started three games in the U.S. Open Cup, and has featured in the team’s 18 man matchday roster on three occasions, but has yet to appear in a regular season game.
The U.S. U-20’s will play against Paraguay on Sept. 6, Colombia on Sept. 8, and Peru on Sept. 10. Agudelo most recently represented the U.S. U-20’s in July at the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. Agudelo started all three matches at the competition, and scored a goal in the United States’ 3-0 victory in the final over host Northern Ireland.

Good oportunity for Agudelo to play since we do not have a Reserves Tournament.the Red Bulls should get into to the USL as a Red Bull II
the Holland & Germany first division teams have a B teams in the Lower Ligue and they put the players that do not make for the First Team
18″s for the Game.We have all the requiremnets to qualified for a USL team, own stadium, owners worth 20mil & I think they can afford for 780k
Bond.Every year we are going to have more homegrown player that if
they do not see any playing time to develop there game they will opt to
go to college or europe.

Very good news at will get some competitive games in. Its unfortunate he doesn’t get much playing time due to our forward depth, but in his limited friendly appearances and U20 tournaments this year he has looked good. He will probably be in forward rotation next year as I doubt will will keep Salou for another year and estimated progression he will make
