After two impressive home wins in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, New York hosts Colorado tonight for the right to advance to the Round of 16.  The Red Bulls are still without several players due to injury and national team call-up, but the available players have performed well in the previous cup matches, and proved their collective mettle with a 3-1 friendly win over Italian side, Juventus, on Sunday.  Conor Chinn and John Wolyniec have carried the load offensively for New York in the Cup, and several other players are taking advantage of the Cup run and friendlies to show head coach Hans Backe that they deserve to be in consideration for MLS minutes moving forward.  A productive outing tonight could go a long way to furthering those goals.  The Rapids come into the match well rested, having not played a match since May 15, while New York is in the midst of a stretch that sees the team play nine matches in 29 days, including five in the last 14 days.  Also, the match will be streamed live on the video player, with the broadcast slated to begin at 7:55 PM ET.
