BOYENS AND ALL-WHITES DROP FRIENDLY TO AUSSIES

In their first World Cup warmup match, Andrew Boyens and New Zealand dropped a heated, 2-1, decision to rival Australia yesterday.  Boyens came on as a substitute in the 51st minute and played the remainder of what turned out to be a very chippy match.  If you watch the highlights below (and don’t get distracted by the flock of birds that is constantly flying about), you see the All-Whites take the early lead.  The Kiwis might have been up and man (or two) after some questionable tackles from two Aussies, and could have taken a commanding lead with several shots off the post, but a late goal from the Socceroos gave the home side the win.
