With just two matches remaining in the Premier League season, just one point separates Manchester City and Tottenham.  City and Spurs clash today at 3:00 PM ET (ESPN2) with a Champions League qualifying spot on the line.  There are plenty of intriguing story lines outside of the consequences of the result, with City threatening legal action after Harry Redknapp’s recent claims regarding Craig Bellamy and Roberto Mancini’s job possibly in peril should the Blues not reach Champions League after their summer spending spree.  (shameless plug alert!) Regardless of who wins the match, both teams will take on the Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena in July as part of the New York Football Challenge (Ticket information will be released in the near future).

Who do you think will win this match?  Will it be the tense affair it is shaping up to be?  Will Mancini get sacked if City doesn’t win fourth place?  Share your thoughts in the comments section.

Honestly, both teams–well, managers (Hughes formerly, and Redknapp) are both pretty guilty when it comes to shady transfers, tapping up and unsettling players, and generally annoying other clubs. I suppose I’d prefer Spurs over City, only because Palacios is such a nice guy, and Honduras are our brothers.

I can’t stand Adebayor so I am glad Spurs won! It will be fun to root against City and for the Red Bulls. Can’t wait for the matches!
