You gotta be kidding me. This guy better not be getting consideration as the starter over Bouna. We got rid of Cepero and sign this USL hack who wasn’t even good enough for Toronto? Nice

Are you and Cepero close, family or best bros perhaps? I dunno about you, but Cepero stunk it up last season. Sutton can’t be much worse.

I’m not saying Cepero should start. I’m happy with Bouna. But do you really think a young Cepero who’s helped us get to an MLS Cup with his whole future in front of him is not a better option than a Canadian USL keeper who has already peaked?

Its a good move, he has international experience, is a seasoned pro and at 32 is in the peak of his career, goalies are at their prime in their 30’s, Backe wants to win not develop a goalie.

I heard Carl has been signed too. What part of his salary will be picked up by Toronto?
Also, can you provide an update in the attempts to agree terms with Juan Agudelo??
Thanks!

I cant say i like this move we needed to do better

a good signing. He was a good keeper for Toronto. The only reason he was released was the drafting of Stefan Frei, the best young keeper in MLS. Frei was generation adidas so it wasn’t going to make sense to eat 120k in cap space for a back up.
I’m sure he’s making much less in New York and for a keeper of his experience it’s a good signing.

I knew this would happen! Good backup for Bouna I guess, although I would’ve preferred Gaudette.

No Caleb Patterson-Sewell? He was such a beast with the Railhawks last season!

I don’t know about this acquisition. Hopefully, he will make solid contribution.

Good signing!!! Toronto is terrible…no goalie can succeed in that system…Frei has been getting smoked in preseason. Keepers get better with age and I believe Suton hasnt hit his prime.

regardless of my hesitancy, welcome to the team Greg!
