  1. Dario Says:

    Good luck Lindpere!

Apparently this guy is solid and will contribute to the team.

Hopefully he is not the next Rojas.

  2. Matt Says:

What took so long? Why is every signing with this team a never-ending process?

  3. emilio Says:

It has nothing to do with the team, it has to do with the fact that the US Imigration offices take forever to issue work permits, this happens every year with players accros the league, after signing it usually takes a month to sort things out. In Europe the whole process would take a few days, but we are in the US where bureacratic mumbo jumbo takes forever.

  4. Metrosct Says:

The permit may take time – that has no impact on the signing. The guys been in camp with RBNY since La Manga. It’s been a foregone conclusion that we was going to sign. RBNY seems to always be slow to announce these things. This year it may be due to the current CBA negotiations. Lindpere and his agent may have wanted to make sure there will be a season before signing the contract.

  5. emilio Says:

The contract has been signed since early February, it was announced in Norway by his agent in early February. MLS league policies usually lead to signings being announced when the VISA’s are in order. The Roy Miller signing was the same.

  6. Carter Says:

Whatever helps the red bulls this summer is a positive step in the right direction from last season. Lindpere seems to look like a solid player, but I won’t make any assumptions until I see him play a couple games this season. Hopefully the Red Bulls will have a succesful season in their new home, for a franchise that’s known for years of dissappointment now is the time to change that.

  7. Alle Says:

Good signing in my opinion, now we don’t have to worry about the left anymore.

  8. Cindy Says:

good luck and welcome Joel! here’s to a good season!

  9. Oh_yeah Says:

Good pick up by the red bulls. He will be a good contributor to the team. Welcome and good luck Joel.

  10. lou Says:

From what i saw in that toronto game, he was very composed, skilled, and a tireless worker. I think he will be at the least, a very solid player. Good job on signing him Red Bull

  11. Tim F. Says:

Welcome Joel!!! Looking forward to having you help lead the team.
