BOYENS PLAYS FULL 90 IN ALL-WHITES 2-0 LOSS TO MEXICO

Andrew Boyens (as well as fellow MLSer Simon Elliot) played the full 90 minutes as New Zealand dropped a 2-0 decision to Mexico in an International Friendly last night in front of 90,526 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. In what was described as a “gutsy performance” in the New Zealand Herald, Boyens had a chance to put the All-Whites up early, when he headed Leo Bertos’ corner wide of a post in the fifth minute.
