RBR ON THE ROAD: DAY 9 – BRADENTON

It was the last training session in Bradenton, FL this morning and it was by far the hottest day that we’ve had since we arrived here. The players went on Field 2 and participated in 11v11 scrimmages split into three different periods. Both teams had chances, with forward Juan Pablo Angel hitting the woodwork and having his shot blocked off the line, while Conor Chinn, Dane Richards and Damani Ralph all had opportunities to score.

As coach Backe mentioned to RBR on Saturday, more players will start playing 90 minutes, so it will be interesting to see who he trots out for the matches against the Houston Dynamo and either FC Dallas or Toronto FC at the Walt Disney Pro Soccer Classic outside of Orlando on Thursday and Saturday. The team is hopping on a bus to their hotel near the Disney complex this afternoon and are off until tomorrow morning.
