so wait no updates on here?

  2. emilio Says:

Hi You have Ream listed twice, who is the other defender?

    Thanks

  3. DS Says:

3 left footers in the back line, can’t remember when I’ve ever seen that.

Johnson and Jonson playing next to each other should go well. (Who knew that was a common name in Costa Rica)

  4. emilio Says:

    The other Jonson is swedish.

  5. DS Says:

Sorry, I mixed him up with Miller, nevermind

  6. Erik V Says:

Does any one know how many players are currently training with RBNY. So how many need to be let go before the season starts?

  7. emilio Says:

With the draft picks and players already signed there are 25 players, than if we signed Lindpere and if we sign Nikolov thats 27, plus on trial Jonson, Guadette, Sutton.Thats 30, the roster is 24, 20 senior players and 4 developmental. So 6 players need to be let go.

    • Erik V Says:

Thanks for the clarification. Definitely a few players from the old roster that I think deserve to be let go, but didn’t think the goal keepers were in danger.

      • lou Says:

however, the new cba that has to be finalized by the end of january, could expand the rosters. So there isn’t much of a point in speculating who or how many, are going to be leaving at the moment.

  8. Cindy Says:

thank you Emilio! i’ve been wondering that myself

  9. emilio Says:

There is a good chance Sassano, Mbuta or Oebster get let go, and Petke and Boyens have to impress to remain because Mendes and Goldthwaite are still in the mix.

    • Pico Says:

I find it interesting that they were playing Walter Garcia as a holding mid, something that Mendes has done for us in the past. I hope Carlos recovers from his injury because he was the quickest of all the center backs we had in the roster last year. Although not as good as Goldie on offense on set pieces, he was more than adequate on the back line. If anything, Petke might be one in the bubble.

Also, I do not believe a team can cut a player that is recovering from an injury. Someone confirm that please.

      Cheers

  10. Cindy Says:

i never thought Mendes was anything that good to be sweating over, personally. but he has been with us for so long now

  11. Cindy Says:

    wasn’t*

If anyone wants to see the video of the CSKA match, it’s here:

It’s in several files and the quality is bad, as it was a fan with a camcorder, not a professional broadcast.

can not wait for the season to start!

  14. JackR Says:

Finally guys are fighting for their spot in the team. Except for Angel, none of them have a spot on the team. I think that is good.
