RBR was there this afternoon at a packed Nevada Smiths in New York City, as fans gathered together to watch the draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. The Red Bulls raffled off a bunch of prizes to fans. We were able to take some video of the scenes there, as Red Bulls forwards John Wolyniec and Mac Kandji and defender Carlos Mendes presented adidas’ 2010 Official World Cup Game Ball prior to the draw. In addition, you’ll see in the video the fans’ reactions to when the U.S. was drawn with Algeria, Slovenia and England:

Just a bit of good Red Bulls news. Wolyniec (ankle), Mendes (hip) and Kandji (adductor, hernia) are all currently rehabbing from their respective surgeries. They are all on schedule, haven’t experienced any setbacks and are confident that they should be ready to train fully by the time preseason starts.

What did you all think of the scene at Nevada Smiths? Were any of you there?

Super time at Nevada’s today. Nice to see ESPN & CNN taking in the scene. Great giveaways from RBNY.

we still need a coach, though.

  2. kofix5 Says:

I was watching but if I’d known those cats were gonna be there I would have been there too
