On Friday, December 4 from 12 noon-2:30 PM, Rob Stone and ESPN2 will be broadcasting live from Nevada Smiths as the World Cup Draw is revealed.  Several New York Red Bulls are scheduled to be in attendance as we find out what group the USA will be placed in, as well as which grouping with be dubbed the “Group of Death”.  There will be raffles to win an Xbox 360 and FIFA 2010, and a special first look at the official 2010 World Cup match ball.  Stop by to cheer on your favorite side, meet Rob Stone and a few of the Red Bulls, get a look at the match ball, and maybe have a drink or two while you are at it!  Until then, take a look at this LINK (the site is in Spanish, but you get the idea) and see how the draw could shake out.  (we had the US with Argentina, Ghana, and Greece in Group D).

** Only 21 or older will be able to enter the venue**

Honestly, you guys need to hire Richie Williams. I ‘m worried about the rumors about this Soler guy (who, I might add, has no exeperience at this level and probably does not know the rules, drafts, etc. of the MLS–and this coming into the transfer season!) bringing in one of his buddies from Europe, who, like him, would have no experience with the MLS. I think that’s a recipe for disaster, part 3, and I think I speak for most of the fans when I say that hiring Richie would be a giant step toward comforting these long-suffering supporters with the knowledge that RBNY learns from its (and other clubs’) mistakes. Honestly, the guy deserves a shot and, especially with Soler have no knowledge of US players (college or professional) or the MLS, having someone with experience like Williams is going to be a godsend. The players respect him and other teams respects. Also, he was born in Jersey.
