Red Bull Academy products John Agudelo and Keith Cardona have each been named to US U17 Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera’s 21-player roster for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup, beginning Oct. 26 in Nigeria.  Agudelo, a forward was with the team during qualifying, while Cardona, a goalkeeper, is making his U17 MNT debut.

The New York Red Bulls Academy is the only program in the country to have two players named to the U17 World Cup roster.

The US U-17 Men’s National Team was drawn into Group E with Spain, Malawi and the United Arab Emirates.  The USA will play the first two group games against Spain on Oct. 26 and Malawi on Oct. 29, in Kano before moving to Ijebu-Ode to close out the first round against UAE on Nov. 1.

MIDFIELDERS: 5-Marlon Duran (Latino Americana), 10-Luis Gil (Pateadores), 14-Carlos Martinez (Wilmington Jr.), 17-Will Packwood (Birmingham City, England), 11-Nick Palodichuk (Washington Premier FC), 8-Alex Shinsky (Super Nova FC);

    why do the redbulls have so many young good players all over but we suck so bad ??????????????????? I dont get the people that run this team

      these ones are a bit young to sign a pro deal, but in general i understand your frustration, but honestly I don’t know why a good youth player would want to sign with MLS in a non GA deal when you can make more working an everyday job and your scholarship for college is worth more than your contract

    I think MLS need to start working like da other country with there youth players they spend all that money and other clubs can just take them and they get nothing why cant they put a price tag on youth players so if some big club want then they have to buy them
