RED BULLS AT TORONTO FC: PREVIEW

The Red Bulls travel north of the border to complete a three game road trip this weekend with a match away to Eastern Conference rival Toronto FC.  New York gets Mac Kandji back from injury and Jorge Rojas returns from International duty, so that will hopefully bolster the Red Bulls attack.  The club has had some success at hostile BMO Field, and will look to put some of their struggles behind them.  Don’t forget to head over to Mulligan’s Saturday night for the Official Viewing Party to take in the match with your fellow supporters.  RBR caught up with Mac Kandji and Kevin Goldthwaite to get their thoughts on the matchup.  Video after the jump.

Goldy’s right “KEEP a CLEAN sheet”, let’s hope that works. Thank God Kandji’s back, that’ll add a boost upfront once again. Toronto have lost their last 3 matches in all competitions (I say that because that includes the Vancouver loss as well), so they’ll be wanting to use this as a way to get back up in the standings. Ofcourse, the crowd won’t help our cause, but that’s normal and we should already be used to that. Let’s cut the crap and get a win!

PLAY GOLF?!?!?!? HOW CAN YA PLAY GOLF?!? RICHARDS HAS TO PRACTICE CROSSING AND PASSING AND KEEPING HIS HEAD UP WHEN DRIBBLING . ANGEL HAS TO WORK ON HIS FINISHING…THE WHOLE DEFENSE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO STAY AWAKE…..ROJAS NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO LET GO OF THE BALL FASTER…UBI NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY SOCCER…BORMAN NEEDS TO LEARN TO USE HIS RIGHT FOOT AT LEAST A LITTLE.. ZIMMERMAN NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO KEEP A PLAYER OFF THE BALL….CONWAY NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO COME OUT OF THE NET.. CEPERO NEEDS TO STRETCH TO GET A LITTLE TALLER.
OSORRYO NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO BE A COACH AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE THE PLAYERS NEED TO PLAY. I CANT BLV THEY GONNA PLAY GOLF… AT THIS RATE WE NEVER GOING TO WIN… SO UPSETTTT.. GOLF!!! DO THEY KNOW OUR RECORD! WTFFFF SO MAD RIGHT NOW !
    WE NEED A COACHHHHHHHH ASAP!

  3. DS Says:

Yes, they are going to play golf and not practice at all. That’s the week’s schedule.

  4. andy Says:

+1 DS hahahaha.I think Goldie is right and that they need to just play. These are quality players, and you don’t just stop being quality. However, sometimes you do get in your own head and over think things and get tight and it all just compounds and goes to hell. C’mon boys, Canada sucks and we all know it so go up and there and get it done!!!

  5. Cindy Says:

Cepero needs to stretch and get a little taller?? hahaha oh geez. here’s hoping for a win!

  6. lou Says:

OH stretching get’s you taller. It’s that easy? Why didn’t i think of that. I think if everyone on the team stretches enough we might be able to take on the knicks when basketball season starts up again for them.

  7. DS Says:

Lou, I think the Knicks might actually be worse than us. Even without stretching we might have a chance.

  8. Alle Says:

“CONWAY NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO COME OUT OF THE NET.. ”

    LOL

Yeah, perhaps the golf practice will get him to see the ball a little better now..

  9. lou Says:

DS you’re perhaps you’re write. Maybe we should forget about the knicks and take on the nets. Wait a minute… they suck to, that seems to be a reacurring trend between all these new york/new jersey teams. Hey if the guys go ice skating instead of golfing, maybe they can take on the islanders/devils/rangers. I would pay to see pietrovallo on skates, let’s see him get a red card in hockey.

  10. kofix5 Says:

    Did they sacrifice that chicken?
Richards can play golf all he wants. He should not see the field tonight. Zimmerman is clearly the best choice at right mid at this point.

  11. kofix5 Says:

Maybe we can trade Pietravallo for Nate Robinson!
Argentines are good at Bball right?

  12. lou Says:

Yeah there great at b ball just look at manu ginobli and nocioni, plus nate played some soccer before college. I don’t know you could be on to somethign kofix.
