RED BULL ACADEMY WELL REPRESENTED AT U14 MNT CAMP

Six Red Bull Academy players (Adam Najem, Russ Canouse, Santiago Castano, Matt Miazga, John Toher and Shane Kronick) have been selected by US Soccer to be among the 36 boys that will participate in the upcoming U14 National team camp being held June 21-27 in Zarepath, New Jersey.  Red Bull U14 head coach Cris da Silva will join the National team staff headed by Manfred Schellscheidt.  Red Bull Director of Youth Programs Bob Montgomery will also serve as as assistant on the staff.

“It is a great accomplishment to have six players from the Red Bull Academy selected to participate in the US Nationa Team U14 camp,” stated Montgomery. “Chris (da Silva) has done an excellent job in identification and development of the U14 Academy team. The players are recognized for their attractive, attacking style of play.”

“As the year moves on we’ll be doing more in Hoboken, Jersey City and Lower Manhattan.” I love how I root for this New York MLS team and yet “lower manhattan” is one of the last and only true NYC areas to get advertising.

RBNY, I am losing faith day by day.

Here is my question: How is a possible to pick 6 players to the national team from RBNY U14 team? RBNY U14 team finished in the middle table in their league with very average scores. Here is their record from Pre-Academy League:
    Red Bulls U-14: 10 games – 5wins, 3loses, 2ties 15 Goals forward 11Goals against.
Is it because Manfred Schellscheidt, Bob Montgomery and Chris Da Silva are buddies?????
What accomplishment????? You can take the entire team to the national camp!!!!
