Red Bull Reader can you give the fans any news on if and what big club we might be playing in the summer. All the MlS teams are booking these games with chelsea, barcelona, real madrid, so will any of them be making the trip to giants stadium this summer?

  2. Cindy Says:

has that become a regular thing? that we make plans to play a big club? because that would be kinda awesome. especially since the All Star for Hope charity match has been canceled.

  3. lou Says:

yea cindy i thought it was becoming some sort of a tradition, and considering that just about every other MLS club is playing a big club, and the all stars for charity thign got i canceled, i was really expecting some sort of announcement as to who we would be playing

  4. MetroStone Says:

Nice job MLS, way to continue proving you are a Mickey Mouse league…..

Friendly > League Match – get a clue!

I feel bad for those fans who already bought plane tickets to Toronto for the August date – F’ing Bull Sh!t

  5. tilt215 Says:

What BS is the league going to reimburse me for my plane ticket that I already booked? No of course not. What scumbags. Thanks RB front office for fighting for us (notice the sarcasm) I remember whenwe met with Garber at the cup and really asked for a weekend away game with toronto so we could travel there. He garanteed it on our schedule and now this. Why does this league continue to try to alienate its fans?

  6. DS Says:

I don’t think this game was moved because of international friendlies, so you can’t get made about that. Also, you can’t blame the FO for this switch. The league owns the rights, the players, they choose the scheduling and have the final say on moving matches. Like I said you can’t blame the FO. I would suggest sending in a complaint to the league, or possibly putting together a petition, I’ll sign my name right under yours.

  7. lou Says:

DS this game did get moved because of internationial friendlies there is no other reason for the move and it’s been all but confirmed on other sites. This is complete bullshit, i’m not one of the ones who bought a ticket so i’m lucky but still it really doesn’t make the league look all that professionial. I can’t see this happening in any other self respecting league.

  8. DS Says:

The reason I didn’t think it was due to international friendlies is because neither us nor TFC have any scheduled at this moment. Also, other leagues change fixtures all the time, so this is not just MLS. They are probably changed for different reasons, but fixtures do change all over.

  9. tilt215 Says:

DS The game WAS moved so toronto can play Real Madrid aka an international friendly.

  10. DS Says:

Well i didn’t see it on their schedule, and I don’t look at rumor sites. So I guess I’m not as in the know as you seem to be. But you don’t have to be so angry about it because you are jealous that we don’t have an international friendly.

  11. lou Says:

If anyone is angry about it DS, it’s because people paid for their tickets already and now their screwed over and they have every rite to be mad. The whole us not having an internationial friendly is just a small part of it, and anyone who got this information probibly got it from which is far from a rumor site.

  12. tilt215 Says:

DS i dont care if we ha ve an international friendly or not. We have the champions league coming up. this is international and actually means something. As for getting the info from a rumors site….. try again. Its the reason the game was moved. It has appeared in numerous places and is no different than when they moved the galaxy match. The reason a lot of us are mad is because we planned trips to the game already. We bought airline tickets, scheduled days off of work, etc.

  13. Year One Online Says:

Not that I’m impressed a lot, but this is more than I expected for when I found a link on Digg telling that the info here is quite decent. Thanks.
p.s. Year One is already on the Internet and you can watch it for free.
