RED BULLS VS. DYNAMO: PREVIEW

The Red Bulls battle the Houston Dynamo Saturday (GET TICKETS!!) at 7:30 PM in the second match of a four-match homestand.  If you can’t make it out to the game (and if not, why is that?) tune in to MSG for all the action with Shep Messing, Steve Cangialosi and Tina Cervasio or turn your radio dial (do radio’s still have dials?) to WQBU 92.7 FM to listen to Ernesto Motta and Robert Sierra paint the word picture.

RBR was out at training this week, and caught up with Seth Stammler and Mike Petke to get their thoughts on the Dynamo:

The weekly Coach Osorio preview will be posted on the official site later today.

Here is some reading to take in prior to the match:

Preview from official site

Johnny Exantus and Dilly Duka are training with the first team

The Red Bulls are hosting their Sixth Annual ACS Soccer Tournament following the match

If you are setting your MLS Fantasy lineups for this week, don’t put Matthew Mbuta or Nick Zimmerman in your starting lineup, as they are out on a weekend loan with Crystal Palace Baltimore (USL-2). This is a great opportunity for both players to get significant game action.  If you are in the Baltimore area this weekend, why not cheer them on against the Western Mass Pioneers (Friday) and Charlotte Eagles (Saturday).

good to hear Petke and Stammler have their heads screwed on right… as for dials on radios… some of us refusing to upgrade still have those dials haha

  2. Mentz Says:

So this loan deal is only for one weekend RBR? Didn’t know you could do that in any league, especially not a rules-happy one like Major League Soccer…

  3. Red Bulls Reader Says:

Yes, its only for this weekend. Mbuta played for Richmond last weekend, and the team loaned out players to USL sides several times last season. The league rules state that loaned out players still count towards the 24 man roster, so this is the best way to get some of the guys match experience following the canceling of the Reserve League.

  4. Alle Says:

It’s a shame they had to cancel the reserve league, but as long as the players are playing – it’s all good.

Looking forward to going to the match tomorrow, I can’t wait!

    COME ON RED BULLS!

I’d be at the match today but I’m in Manchester, UK.
My girlfriend is taking her friends to the game in my place though.

Is the game going to be on Match Center?
Maybe I can watch the game later 2nite if I’m not too nackered.
