MLS ALL-STAR VOTING BEGINS

Beginning today, fans can vote for the First XI for the 2009 MLS All-Star Game, which pits the best of Major League Soccer against Everton FC of the English Premier League. The 14th annual MLS midsummer showcase will take place at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah on July 29 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

The game will be televised in the U.S. on ESPN2 and Telefutura.

Fans can vote for the All-Star First XI online by selecting one goalkeeper, three defenders, five midfielders, and two forwards. Fans can vote up to 10 times per day. The online fan balloting program, which concludes on July 6, will comprise 25 percent of the total vote for the All-Star First XI, with coaches and general managers, players, and media each holding 25 percent of the vote.

Vote early and vote often for whomever you think deserves to be honored, but if you happen to stuff the ballot box full of Red Bulls, we won’t tell.

I voted, but for some reason mac kandji aka MAC10 was listed under midfielders. I voted for him but that may be a problem because people are going to be looking for him under forwards and aren’t going to find him and so won’t vote for him.

Kandji is not a damn midfielder, what idiots. Probably because he played there for a few games. I still think he’d be better used upfront for the All-Star game.

Mbuta and Zimmerman are on loan to Crystal Palace???

you can thank JCO for that – at this point Kandji has played a midfield position as much as at striker

  5. lou Says:

yea but the fact is that he is a striker, so will the guys on mlsnet.com change it so people no were to find him so they can vote for him? Becuase otherwise this seriously hurts his chances of getting voted for
