The team is off today, so RBR thought we would take a look to see how an ex-Red Bull has been faring. Jozy Altidore made his debut for Villarreal yesterday, coming on at halftime of the Yellow Submarine’s 1-0 win over Deportivo. Jozy looked dangerous and created some excellent chances. Jozy will not be available for Villarreal’s trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United, as, according to the Villarreal official site, Jozy is not is not registered at UEFA for the Group Stages. Take a lookat Jozy’s debut for yourself in this YouTube clip:
As today is the 15th of September, that means that the MLS roster freeze deadline is today. Following the trade of Hunter Freeman to Toronto, it remains to be seen if Jeff Agoos will bring in some final pieces of the puzzle before the 5:00 PM ET deadline as the Red Bulls make the push for the playoffs.
Who do you think will be brought in? How will those player(s) help the team down the stretch and beyond? What do you think of the aquisitions that Agoos and Osorio have brought in so far?

Go Jozy Go! Nice to see the pride of US Soccer looking good in his first showing. Use this chance while they have strikers down and it’ll be tough to keep you on the sidelines even at 18.

Thanks for posting the Jozy highlights. It’s fun to see him do some confident stuff and go at defenders.
