RED BULL SALZBURG CONTINUES HOT PLAY IN EUROPE

Red Bull Salzburg has been one of the hottest teams in Europe recently, as RBNY’s sister club is not only two points clear atop the Austrian Bundelsliga through 15 rounds, but Salzburg is also six points clear atop Group G in the Europa League after its 1-0 win away to Bulgarian Champion Levski Sofia last week.  The win gives Salzburg 12 points after four rounds (one of just two teams to be perfect after four rounds), meaning one point from their next match qualifies them for the Round of 32.

Salzburg’s next Europa League match is on December 2 against S.S. Lazio at Red Bull Arena in Salzburg.  The Red Bulls defeated Lazio, 2-1, in Rome on September 17 in the first match of group play.  Salzburg’s next domestic fixture is on November 21, away to KSV Superfund.

RED BULL BRASIL EARNS PROMOTION

After a year of waiting, Red Bull Brasil achieved their goal of being promoted to Serie A3 of the Campeonato Paulista. Early on Sunday, the team, led by head coach Jair Picerni, defeated Desportivo Brazil, 2-1, at the Moisés Lucarelli Stadium in Campinas, Sao Paulo.

ROOF COMPLETED AT RED BULL ARENA

The 360-degree roof at Red Bull Arena – the New York Red Bulls’ future home in Harrison, NJ set to open on March 27, 2010 – was completed today when the last of the 94 roof panels was installed.   READ FULL RELEASE HERE.

The roof is now done, the grass has been installed, and the seats are underway and should be completed in time for the holidays.  Who can think of a better gift for Red Bull fans!!  Have a great weekend!!!

Here is the next installment of the Red Bull Arena time-lapse.  This edition gives us a look at the month of April, 2009.  (Sorry for the delay in this edition) With the building skeleton all but completed, the west building begins to be enclosed.
