RBR caught up with proud poppa Dave van den Bergh at training today to get an update on the birth of his second child:
Max Daniel van den Bergh was born on June 3, 2008 at 1:18am, and came in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. Both Max and momma Alexie are resting comfortably and both hope to go home sometime today.
On the name Max: “It is something that we decided on. We wanted something that would sound the same in both languages. Max fit that and we thought it was a cool name.”
On whether Dave’s other son, Ryan, is excited: “Yeah, he is excited to have a playmate. Someone to play soccer with and beat up on his dad.”
On whether Max is displaying left footed tendencies yet: “I have high hopes for this one. Ryan is right footed so I have high hopes.”
